Call for Papers - An Interdisciplinary Encounter on Current Status and Challenges of Trust Research
Important questions remain about how trust is differently understood, perceived and applied, and particularly in understanding the dynamics and processes behind its creation, maintenance, and restoring across several important contexts and in key business relationships. We welcome contributions from both junior and senior researchers representing both academic and practitioner communities, across a spectrum of disciplines, to present new theoretical perspectives or empirical insights based upon either qualitative or quantitative methods. Our call for papers (and extended abstracts) is thus deliberately broad.
Submissions should focus on the following themes:
- Trust in money and alternative monetary regimes
- Trust in banks
- Intermediated trust in open innovation
- Developing measures for trust
- Dynamics of trust
- Trust examination from a multidisciplinary perspective (for example business economics vs. ethics)
- Creating and/or managing trust in social networks, esp. in business contexts
- Investing in trust (favorably here case studies)
The contributions should be between 5,500 and 6,000 words in length (including references). Each paper should ideally address both scientific and practical implications of the research.
Submission deadline: May 15, 2015
Paper Presentations and Awarding
The authors of the best papers will be notified before the research colloquium to prepare a 5-minute pitch of their work. During the colloquium, the audience will determine three of them that will get the opportunity to present their work in full length. Among the final presentations, two distinguished papers will have the chance to win a monetary award - the Heribert Meffert Award.
